TikTok Shop Southeast Asia Cross-border announced an update to the multi-store opening rules for cross-border merchants on August 1st, providing greater flexibility for merchants to expand in the Southeast Asian market. According to the new rules, merchants can operate in Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Singapore with the same business license, with a maximum of two stores allowed for operation in each country.

This policy adjustment is undoubtedly a major benefit for merchants who have already entered the Malaysian and Thai markets. If merchants wish to further expand to other Southeast Asian countries, the operation process is extremely simple. Merchants only need to log in to the background, enter the "Global Market" option under "My Account", select the target country and click "Open" to easily achieve cross-market layout.

It is important to note that the maximum number of stores supported by a single business license in the same country is two. For example, if a merchant has already opened one store in Vietnam, they need to ensure that the limit is not exceeded before opening a second store. The opening of a new store requires a new entry process, selecting the corresponding country site, and waiting for approval. Once approved, merchants can quickly start operating the second store and do not have to go through the new store probation period again.

This new rule from TikTok Shop Southeast Asia Cross-border not only simplifies the merchant's store opening process but also reduces the threshold for cross-market operations, helping merchants to expand the regional market more efficiently and seize the growth opportunities of Southeast Asian e-commerce. Merchants can look forward to achieving broader business growth and brand communication on TikTok's powerful platform.
